How to change location on Tinder?

Change your GPS reported location when using Tinder Web App

When using the extension, everyone can change their location whether for privacy purposes or for early traveling (aka, Tinder Passport) to the place you’re actually planning to go.

Changing the location reported by the browser (with the help of extension) typically tends to perform better than using the travel feature as many users prefer to not see remote people, who are unlikely to actually travel.

This does NOT change your IP address, which sometimes can be taken into account for computing your location and therefore delay your location change. If that happens to you, please let an hour go by and check back in.

How to?

To change location, first go to Google Maps and click anywhere on the map (1) where you would like to “travel” to. This will drop the pin and select the location.

Then copy the URL (2) in the address bar of your browser, which will include the coordinates.

Inside your tinder window, find the pin icon in the toolbar and open the dialog:

In the popup, enable the location spoofing feature (1), paste the link (2) and click to extract the coordinates (3). Finally, save it (4). Tinder requests location once every minute and it may be as soon as that. However it can take up to an hour in rare cases.

This is effortless way to fill out, you are also welcome to manually enter the coordinates.

For the accuracy field, you’re welcome to customize it. An iconic default has been provided. It typically varies between 30 meters to as much as several hundred depending on your device and location hints (such as amount of WiFI options in your area that browsers use to figure out the location with).
